ABOUT

Based in Montreal, Myriam is a multidisciplinary and contemporary artist whose work combines raw emotion, poetic sensitivity, and refined aesthetics.

With a bachelor's degree in art education from Concordia University, she spent 15 years running and creating for her women's fashion brand, Schwiing Apparel, which is distributed in over 200 boutiques across Canada.

Following the closure of the company in 2023, she returned to her first love: painting and drawing. In 2024, she joined the Mastery Program at the Milan Art Institute , seeking both her unique artistic voice and a deeper understanding of the art world.

This training marked a real turning point: putting art and creation back at the heart of my existence.

Through her art, she hopes to build bridges, touch hearts, and resonate with those who encounter her world.

Artistic approach

"I deeply believe that art is a powerful tool for spreading beauty, hope, and change."

My intention is not to dictate a story, but to create a sensitive space where everyone can project their emotions, memories, and their own narratives. Art, for me, is an experience to live rather than a language to decipher.

Charcoal and graphite are often my starting points—raw and sensitive mediums that I value highly. From this base, some of my works explore the intersection between the precision of realistic portraiture and the instinctive energy of gestural abstraction. I enjoy navigating between earthy tones and vibrant colors, using paints, pigments, markers, and oil sticks.

Words also occupy an important place in my practice. Sometimes visible, sometimes hidden, they bring a dimension of reflection and become matter, texture, and meaning.

Each canvas becomes an invitation to introspection, to emotional resonance.
